Procedure
Step-by-step guide: Screenshots and videos are placed with the instruction they illustrate.
You can receive notifications when a compatible video device's internal temperature nears the bounds of its operational temperature range.
Compatible video devices
| Video Device | Operational temperature range |
|---|---|
| ADC-VDB780B | 3°F to 131°F (-16°C to 55°C) |
| ADC-V731B | -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C) |
Temperature notifications
Users will receive a low-temperature notification when the internal temperature of the device drops below its minimum threshold, and a high-temperature notification when the temperature exceeds the maximum threshold.
If the video device's internal temperature exceeds the minimum or maximum temperature, it will automatically turn off to prevent damage to the device. The device will automatically turn back on after its internal temperature is within the operational temperature range.
Note: This notification is enabled by default.
Cold weather performance
Low temperatures are known to reduce the capacity of lithium-ion batteries, so users in colder climates may experience shorter battery cycles. If there is a quick drop in ambient temperature the battery will deplete faster, and the device may not accurately reflect the remaining capacity. In sustained colder climates it is recommended to recharge the device more frequently.
Note: In the case of a low-temperature cutoff, it will take time for the video device's internal temperature to reach the functioning supported temperature.
