Create Low Battery and Depleted Battery notifications for video devices

You can receive notifications when a compatible video device's battery is low or completely depleted.

Compatible video devices

Low Battery notifications

A Low Battery notification will be sent when the video device's battery level reaches 20%, and a Critical Low Battery notification will be sent when it reaches 10%.

Note: This notification is enabled by default.

Create/edit Low Battery Notifications

A Low Battery notification can be created using the Alarm.com app and GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).

Alarm.com app

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Tap [Settings].
  4. Tap [Add], or tap an existing notification to edit.
  5. Tap Low Battery (Video) Notification.
  6. Entered a name for the notification.
  7. Select the desired video device.

In Recipients, tap Add to select which contacts receive the notification.

In the Address Book, tap to select the recipients to notify, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book recipient.

  1. Tap Close.
  2. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  3. Tap Save.

GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

  1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click New Notification, or click [Edit] to edit an existing notification.
  4. Click Low Battery (Video) Notification.
  5. Enter a name for the notification.
  6. Select the desired video device.

In Recipients, click Add to select which contacts receive the notification.

In the Address Book, click to select the recipients to notify, or click New Contact to add a new Address Book recipient.

  1. Click Close.
  2. Click Save.

Depleted Battery notifications

A Depleted Battery notification can be sent when the device's battery is completely depleted.

Note: This notification is enabled by default.

Create/edit Depleted Battery notifications

A Depleted Battery notification can be created and configured using the Alarm.com app and GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Tap [Settings].
  4. Tap [Add], or tap an existing notification to edit.
  5. Tap Depleted Battery (Video) Notification.
  6. Entered a name for the notification.
  7. Select the desired video device.

In Recipients, tap Add to select which contacts receive the notification.

In the Address Book, tap to select the recipients to notify, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book recipient.

  1. Tap Close.
  2. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  3. Tap Save.

GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

  1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click New Notification, or click [Edit] to edit an existing notification.
  4. Click Depleted Battery (Video) Notification.
  5. Enter a name for the notification.
  6. Select the desired video device.

In Recipients, click Add to select which contacts receive the notification.

In the Address Book, click to select the recipients to notify, or click New Contact to add a new Address Book recipient.

  1. Click Close.
  2. Click Save.
