Create/edit a thermostat change alert notification

A Thermostat Change Alert notification can notify users if the setpoint or mode is changed.

To create a thermostat change alert notification using the Alarm.com app:

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Add.
  6. Tap to expand Use A Template.
  7. In Temperature, tap More.
  8. Tap Thermostat Alert.
  9. Enter the name of the new notification.
  10. In When any of these settings are changed, tap to select which changes to be notified about.
  11. In For the selected devices, tap to select the thermostats to be notified about.
  12. In Recipients, tap Add to add notification recipients.
  13. Tap to select the desired recipients from the Address Book, or add an unlisted recipient by tapping Add Contact. 
  14. Tap Close.
  15. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  16. Tap Save.

To create a thermostat change alert notification using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com): 

  1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click New Notification.
  4. Click Temperature.
  5. Click Thermostat Alert.
  6. Enter the name of the new notification.
  7. In When any of these settings are changed, click to select which changes to be notified about.
  8. In For the selected devices, click to select the thermostats to be notified about.
  9. In Recipients, click Add to add notification recipients. 
  10. Click to select the desired recipients from the Address Book, or add an unlisted recipient by clicking New. 
  11. Click Close.
  12. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  13. Click Save.
