Change the name of a light

Overview

Customized light names can help with system management and usage.

Procedure

To change the name of a light using the Alarm.com app

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap [Menu].
3. Tap Manage Devices.

In Lights, tap [More Options] next to the desired device.

1. Tap [Edit].
2. Enter the desired name for the device.
3. Tap Ok.

To change the name of a light using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Settings
3. Click Manage Devices.

In Lights, click [More Options] next to the desired device.

1. Click [Edit].
2. Enter the desired name for the device.
3. Click Ok.
