Change the name of a thermostat

Overview

Naming thermostats can help manage systems with multiple thermostats.

Procedure

To change the name of a thermostat using the Alarm.com app

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap [Menu].
3. Tap Manage Devices.

In Thermostats tap [More Options] next to the thermostat.

1. Tap [Edit].
2. Enter the desired name for the device.
3. Tap Ok.

To change the name of a thermostat using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).

In the Thermostat card, click [Details].

In the card for the desired thermostat to be changed, click [Settings].

In the Device Name field, enter the new name for the thermostat.

1. Click [Close] to save.
