Delete a video recording rule

Overview

Video recording rules can be deleted using the app or website.

Procedure

To delete a Video Analytics recording rule using the Alarm.com app

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap Video.
3. Tap [Settings].
4. Tap Recording Rules.

On the Video Analytics recording rule to delete, tap [Delete].

1. Tap Delete rule.

To delete a video recording rule using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

Caution: When deleting a local recording rule where a video device records to an SVR (Stream Video Recorder), the video device's associated footage will be removed from the SVR.

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Video.
3. Click Recording Rules.
4. Click [Trash] on the recording rule to be deleted.

On the Delete Rule pop-up window, click Yes.
