Take a Peek-in from a Qolsys panel camera

Peek-Ins allow users to take on demand snapshots from the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 panel camera using the Alarm.com website or app.

Procedure

Requirements

A compatible Qolsys panel

Qolsys IQ Panel 2 on software version 2.3.0+.

Qolsys IQ Panel 4 on any software version.

The panel must be connected to Wi-Fi.

Note: If you do not see the following options, contact your service provider.

To request a Peek-In using the Alarm.com app

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.

In Images card, tap [Peek In].

  1. Tap Peek-In Now.
  2. Tap Send to capture and upload an image immediately.

The image is uploaded to the Images event gallery. When the image is available for viewing, a notification is sent to all Peek-In notification recipients.

To request a Peek-In using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

  1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
  2. Click [Peek In] on the Images card.
  3. Click [Peek In] for the Panel Camera to capture and upload an image immediately.

The image is uploaded to the Images event gallery. When the image is available for viewing, a notification is sent to all Peek-In notification recipients.

To configure Peek-In recipients

Note: This can only be configured using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).

  1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
  2. Click Automation.
  3. Click [Edit] for Peek-Ins & Manual Image Uploads.

To choose notification recipients, click Add.

  1. Click to select the desired recipients from the Address book, to add an unlisted recipient click New. When a recipient has been selected, a checkmark appears next to their contact information.

Note: When a Peek-In is requested, an image of the capture is attached to the email or SMS message.

  1. Click Close.
  2. Verify the rule is configured with the correct settings.
  3. Click Save.
