Create a Trip Started/Ended Alert notification

Procedure

To create a Trip Started/Ended Alert notification using the Alarm.com app

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap [Menu].
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap [Settings].
  5. Tap [Add].
  6. Tap to expand Use A Template.

In Cars, tap More.

  1. Tap to select Trip Started/Ended Alert.
  2. Enter the desired name for the notification rule.

In When these cars, tap to select which car should trigger the notification.

In Report any of the following events, select the desired events to report (i.e., Trip Started, Trip Ended).

In During this time frame, tap to select either

At all times to receive a notification every time the car is turned on/off.

Only during the following times to specify a specific time to receive notifications when the car is turned on/off.

In Recipients, tap Add to choose notification recipients.

  1. Tap the entries in the Address book that are to be notified, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book entry.
  2. Tap Close.
  3. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  4. Tap Save.

To create a Trip Started/Ended Alert notification using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

  1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click New Notification.
  4. Click Cars.
  5. Click Trip Started/Ended Alert.
  6. Enter the desired name for the notification rule.

In When these cars, click to select which car should trigger the notification.

In Report any of the following events, select the desired events to report (i.e., Trip Started, Trip Ended).

In During this time frame, click to select either

At all times to receive a notification every time the trip is started/ended.

Only during the following times to specify a specific time to receive notifications when the car is turned on/off.

In Recipients, click Add to choose notification recipients.

  1. Click the entries in the Address book that are to be notified, or click New to add a new Address Book entry.
  2. Click Close.
  3. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  4. Click Save.
