Overview

Garage devices and gates have the ability to set rules that, when triggered, perform specific actions and send notifications when a rule is triggered.

Procedure

Triggers and resulting actions

Garage door or gate opens/closes

This trigger can result in the following actions

  1. Turn on/off light

Send notifications (available for open/close)

Initiate video recording

Garage door or gate left open

This trigger can be set for when the garage door opener or gate is left open for a set amount of time and/or is left open when a Geo-Device leaves a Geo-Fence.

This trigger can result in the following action

Send notification

Arm stay/away

Note: This trigger cannot be set up with a delay. It triggers regardless of whether the system is armed from the panel, keyfob, another rule, or from the Alarm.com app or GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).

This trigger can result in the following action

Close garage door or gate

Disarm

  1. Open garage door or gate
