Create an arming event notification

Overview

An arming event notification can notify users when and who is arming and disarming the system.

Procedure

To create an arming event notification using the Alarm.com app

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap [Menu].
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap [Settings].
  5. Tap [Add].
  6. Tap to expand Create Your Own.
  7. Tap Arming Event.

Name the new notification rule.

Using the When dropdown menu, select either of the following

Any User or Keyfob to be notified about any user arming/disarming.

  1. Select Users and Keyfobs for specific users.

In Perform and of these system actions, tap to select any of the following

Disarm to notify you when the panel is disarmed.

Arm Stay to notify you when the panel is set to Arm Stay.

Arm Away to notify you when the panel is set to Arm Away.

In During this time frame, tap to select either of the following

At All Times to receive a notification anytime an arming event occurs.

Only during the Following Times to configure specific days and times to receive notifications.

In Notification Filtering, tap to select the desired notification filtering.

To choose notification recipients, tap Add.

  1. Tap the entries in the Address book that are to be notified, or tap Add Contact to add a new Address Book entry.
  2. Tap Close.
  3. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  4. Tap Save.

To create an arming event notification using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

  1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click New Notification.
  4. Click Business.
  5. Click Employee arming activity.

Name the new notification rule.

Using the When dropdown menu, select either of the following

Any User or Keyfob to be notified about any user arming/disarming.

  1. Select Users and Keyfobs for specific users.

In Perform and of these system actions, click to select any of the following

Disarm to notify you when the panel is disarmed.

Arm Stay to notify you when the panel is set to Arm Stay.

Arm Away to notify you when the panel is set to Arm Away.
