Change a video device name

Overview

Video device names can be customized for easier system management.

Procedure

Change a video device name

Note: Camera names can have a maximum of 16 characters each.

Alarm.com app

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap [Menu].
3. Tap Manage Devices.

In Video Devices, tap [More Options].

1. Tap [Edit].

In the Rename Device field, enter the new name.

1. Tap Ok.

GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Video.
3. Click Settings.
4. Select the desired video device.

Next to the device's current name, click [Edit].

In the Device Name field, enter the new name.

1. Click Save.
