Procedure
To add the Safety Button widget to the Home screen for iOS devices
On the Home screen, press and hold an empty area until the apps begin to move.
- Tap [Add] or Edit.
- Select the Alarm.com widget.
Swipe to the Safety Button widget.
- Tap Add Widget.
- Tap and drag the widget to the desired location, then tap Done.
To add the Safety Button widget to the Home screen for Android devices
On the Home screen, press and hold an empty area until the modal appears.
- Tap Widgets.
Find and select the Alarm.com widget.
- Press and hold the Safety Button option to place the widget onto the Home Screen.
Can I cancel a call for help placed through the Safety Button widget?
Yes. Upon tapping the Safety Button, the app will launch, allowing you to enter your PIN within 10 seconds to cancel your call. You can also cancel by providing their PIN to the trained operator by text or phone call.
Can I use the Safety Button widget in conjunction with other widgets?
Yes. Additional widgets are available on both Android and iOS and can be used in conjunction with the Safety Button widget.
iOS devices
iOS users can configure the System Control widget and Saved Clips widget alongside the Safety Button Widget.

Android devices
Android users can configure widgets to trigger scenes. For more information on the Alarm.com widget for Android, see Add the Alarm.com widget for Android.
Can the widget be used in conjunction with iOS Face ID or Passcode lock for the Alarm.com app?
Yes. The Safety Button widget is configurable when Face ID or Passcode protection has been enabled. Users are still required to confirm their identity via biometrics or passcode in order to cancel the alarm.
