# View energy usage

## Overview

View daily, weekly or monthly energy usage by specific devices or whole home.

## Procedure

### To view energy usage using the Alarm.com app

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap Energy.
3. Tap the name of the device to be viewed.

### To change the view

1. Tap 24 hours, 7 days, or 21 days to change the time period.
2. Tap Compare to compare current usage with previous time periods.

Swipe left or right to view different time periods.

### To view energy usage using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Usage.

### Using the Device dropdown menu, select a monitoring device.

### To change the view

### To view usage in Kilowatt hours, click \[Show Usage In Kwh\] to show usage in kWh.

### To view usage in dollars, click \[Show Usage In Dolllars\] to show usage in dollars.

To adjust the time period of the usage chart, click \[View More Days\] to view more days or click \[View Less Days\] to view less days.

### To view energy usage by specific billing period, click to select Fit to Billing Cycle.
