# Download or upload Green Button data

## Overview

Green Button is an industry-led effort that responds to a White House call-to-action to provide consumers with easy-to-understand data about their household energy usage.

## Procedure

### To download Green Button data

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Settings &amp; Billing Information.
5. Click to expand Green Button Data.
6. Click Download your Green Button data from your electricity provider.

Note: This link redirects to your electricity provider's website. For more information about downloading Green Button data, contact your electricity provider.

### To upload Green Button data

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Settings &amp; Billing Information.
5. Click Green Button Data.
6. Click Choose File to select the desired file.
7. Click Upload.

Note: To set a monthly reminder to upload Green Button data, select Every Month from the dropdown menu and then click Save.
