Overview Thermostat overshoot determines the number of degrees the thermostat will keep the system on above (during heating) or below (during cooling) the target setpoint. Platform App + Web Content type Reference Source last updated 2025-06-04 Procedure To change thermostat overshoot settings using the Alarm.com app Log in to the Alarm.com app. Tap Thermostats. Tap [Settings]. If there are multiple thermostats in the system, tap the name of the thermostat to be adjusted. Tap Device Settings. In Overshoot, tap [Add] or [Minus] to adjust the number of overshoot degrees. Tap Apply. Note: The minimum overshoot is 0 degrees and the maximum overshoot is 3 degrees. To change thermostat overshoot settings using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com) Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com). In the Thermostat card, click [Details]. Click Advanced Configuration. In Overshoot, click [Up] or [Down] to adjust the number of overshoot degrees. Click Save.
