Change thermostat overshoot settings

Overview

Thermostat overshoot determines the number of degrees the thermostat will keep the system on above (during heating) or below (during cooling) the target setpoint.

Procedure

To change thermostat overshoot settings using the Alarm.com app

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Thermostats.
  3. Tap [Settings].

If there are multiple thermostats in the system, tap the name of the thermostat to be adjusted.

  1. Tap Device Settings.

In Overshoot, tap [Add] or [Minus] to adjust the number of overshoot degrees.

  1. Tap Apply.

Note: The minimum overshoot is 0 degrees and the maximum overshoot is 3 degrees.

To change thermostat overshoot settings using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

  1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).

In the Thermostat card, click [Details].

  1. Click Advanced Configuration.

In Overshoot, click [Up] or [Down] to adjust the number of overshoot degrees.

  1. Click Save.

Note: The minimum overshoot is 0 degrees and the maximum overshoot is 3 degrees.
