# Add a Location to be managed in a Multi-Level Group

## Overview
Locations can be added and managed in a Multi-Level Group.
## Procedure
The Subgroup has not been created
Before a location can be added to a Multi-Level Group, it must be added to a Subgroup.
### To create a Subgroup
1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Manage Groups.
3. Click \[Add\] Subgroup.
4. Enter a name for the Subgroup.
5. Click Save.
After the Subgroup has been created, a location can be added to a Multi-Level Group. For more information, see The Subgroup has been created.

After the Subgroup has been created, locations can be added to the Multi-Level Group.
### To add a location to a Multi-Level Group
1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Manage Groups.
In the desired Subgroup, click \[Add\].
1. Enter the location's Administrator login name and password to add.
2. Click Confirm.
