To change parent meter settings

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Settings & Bill Information.
5. Click Manage Energy Devices.
6. Click the energy monitoring device to be edited.

Using the Parent Meter dropdown menu, select the parent device.

1. Click Save.

Procedure

Change the name of an energy monitoring device

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Settings & Bill Information.
5. Click Manage Energy Devices.
6. Click the energy monitoring device to be edited.

In the Device Name field, enter the desired name for the device.

1. Click Save.

Procedure

To download Green Button data

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Settings & Billing Information.
5. Click to expand Green Button Data.
6. Click Download your Green Button data from your electricity provider.

Note: This link redirects to your electricity provider's website. For more information about downloading Green Button data, contact your electricity provider.

To upload Green Button data

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Settings & Billing Information.
5. Click Green Button Data.
6. Click Choose File to select the desired file.
7. Click Upload.

Note: To set a monthly reminder to upload Green Button data, select Every Month from the dropdown menu and then click Save.

To update electricity provider settings

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Settings & Bill Information.
5. Click Electricity Provider Settings.

Using the Electricity Provider dropdown menu, select your electricity provider.

Using the Service Package dropdown menu, select your service package.

In Most Recent Bill, enter the Last Date on Bill and Approximate Bill Amount.

1. Click Save.

To set an energy usage goal using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Goals.

Using the Device dropdown menu, select a monitoring device.

In Projected Usage, drag [Set Goal] horizontally to lower or raise the goal budget.

1. Click Save.

Procedure

To view energy usage using the Alarm.com app

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap Energy.
3. Tap the name of the device to be viewed.

To change the view

1. Tap 24 hours, 7 days, or 21 days to change the time period.
2. Tap Compare to compare current usage with previous time periods.

Swipe left or right to view different time periods.

To view energy usage using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Usage.

Using the Device dropdown menu, select a monitoring device.

To change the view

To view usage in Kilowatt hours, click [Show Usage In Kwh] to show usage in kWh.

To view usage in dollars, click [Show Usage In Dolllars] to show usage in dollars.

To adjust the time period of the usage chart, click [View More Days] to view more days or click [View Less Days] to view less days.

To view energy usage by specific billing period, click to select Fit to Billing Cycle.
