# View energy usage

## Overview

View daily, weekly or monthly energy usage by specific devices or whole home.

## Procedure

 View daily, weekly, or monthly energy usage by specific devices or whole home on the Alarm.com app or GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).

<div><span></span>### **To view energy usage using the Alarm.com app:**

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap **Energy**.
3. Tap the name of the device to be viewed.
4. To change the view: 
    - Tap **24 hours**, **7 days**, or **21 days** to change the time period.
    - Tap **Compare** to compare current usage with previous time periods.
    - Swipe left or right to view different time periods.

</div><div><span></span>### **To view energy usage using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com):**

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click **Activity**.
3. Click **Energy Usage**.
4. Click **Usage**.
5. Using the *Device* dropdown menu, select a monitoring device.
6. To change the view:

    - To view energy usage by specific billing period, click to select **Fit to Billing Cycle**.
