# Change parent meter settings for an energy monitoring device

## Overview

Select a parent meter a device is included in the measurements from one of your other metering devices.

## Procedure

### To change parent meter settings

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Activity.
3. Click Energy Usage.
4. Click Settings &amp; Bill Information.
5. Click Manage Energy Devices.
6. Click the energy monitoring device to be edited.

### Using the Parent Meter dropdown menu, select the parent device.

1. Click Save.
