Can video be deleted from the Stream Video Recorder (SVR)?

Overview

Video that is saved to the Stream Video Recorder (SVR) cannot be manually deleted for specific time frames. This is to ensure that important data is not removed from the SVR.

Procedure

Situations where footage is automatically deleted

When the SVR's hard drive storage is full. Video is automatically overwritten a full day at a time to make room for newly recorded video.

When the SVR recording schedule for a camera is deleted using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com). All previous video recordings from that camera are deleted from the SVR.

Manually limit the number of days to record

it is possible to manually limit the number of days to keep recorded footage an SVR. For the ADC-SVR100, ADC-SVR122, and ADC-CSVR126, this setting can be adjusted for each individual recording rule; for the ADC-SVR210, ADC-CSVR20XXP Pro Series, and ADC-CSVR21XXP Pro Series, this setting can be adjusted for all recording rules simultaneously. Limiting the number of days to record can be adjusted using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com) or Alarm.com app, depending on the SVR.

To limit the number of days to record for the ADC-SVR100, ADC-SVR122, and ADC-CSVR126

GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com)

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Video.
3. Click Recording Rules.
4. Click Local Recordings.
5. Click [Edit] for the desired device.
6. Click Advanced Options.
7. Click the Limit the number of days to record toggle switch to enable a limit for the recording rule.

Using the dropdown menu, select the limit for the number of days to keep recorded footage.

1. Click Save.

Alarm.com app

1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
2. Tap [Video].
3. Tap [Settings].
4. Tap Recording Rules.
5. Tap Local.
6. Tap [Edit] for the desired device.
7. Tap Advanced Options.
8. Tap the Limit the number of days to record toggle switch to enable a limit for the recording rule.

Using the dropdown menu, select the limit for the number of days to keep recorded footage.

1. Tap Save.

To limit the number of days to record for the ADC-SVR210, ADC-CSVR20XXP Pro Series, or ADC-CSVR21XXP Pro Series

Note: This process can only be done using the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com) for the ADC-SVR210, ADC-CSVR20XXP Pro Series, and ADC-CSVR21XXP Pro Series.

1. Log in to the GoSafer Security customer portal (powered by Alarm.com).
2. Click Video.
3. Click Settings.
4. Select the desired Stream Video Recorder.
5. Click Recording Options.

Using the Keep Clips for the Selected Duration dropdown menu, select the number of days to keep recorded footage.

1. Click Save.
